NMU Catch the Cat 5K
The NMU Catch the Cat 5K is a trail race with all proceeds going to NMU Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Teams as a fundraiser.
It combines scenic runnable trails (NTN singletrack) and more technical terrain with roots and rocks (North Country Trail). The course has many short ascents and descents. Also note that the last section of the course is mostly uphill as runners make their way back to the Forestville Trailhead.
Upon completion of the race, runners will receive their official time from Superior Timing.
Adult awards will be given to the Top 3 overall Male and Female runners.
Kids running the 5K will also be given awards, Top 3 in each age group.
Kids 1-mile run
The popular 1-mile run also starts and finishes at the NTN Forestville Trailhead.
It is a fun course designed to combine fast sections (NTN trails) and more technical areas (North Country Trail). It follows the first part of the 5K, then cuts back to the Finish area.
This race will also be chip timed. There will be awards for the fastest runners, as well as age-group awards.
