OTHER INFO
Parking
Parking will be available at the Forestville Trailhead on a first come first serve basis. PARKING IS VERY LIMITED! PLEASE EITHER CARPOOL WITH OTHER RACERS OR HAVE SOMEONE DROP YOU OFF.
Preference will be given to those racers who carpool with at least one other racer and they will be allowed to proceed up to the parking lot. We will have parking attendants checking bibs. If you are the only racer in your vehicle, or if the vehicle has spectators and will be driven away immediately after the start, you will need to park in a designated area along the road (~1/2 - 3/4 mile from the Start/Finish) as directed by our parking attendants.
Drop bags
Bags must be turned in by 5:15 AM race day. Please have them organized, secured and well-marked. We are not responsible for lost or taken items. We expect 50K runners to not need drop bags, but they are welcome to have drop bags as well.
Drop bags may not be returned to Forestville Trailhead until as late as 8:00 PM, although our staff will be making several trips between aid stations. We cannot mail drop bags to you if we can't get them at the end of the race.
Cut-off times
There are aid station cut-off times for both the 50K and 50 Mile events. Due to the nature of our course, with respect to the safety of participants and our volunteers, these cut-off times will be strictly enforced. Please respect our volunteers and turn in your bib if requested. Please reference the table above for specific cut-off times.
Special note: The 50M cut-off at mile 31 (Forestville Aid Station) allows for a 16:45 min/mile average. So while it seems there is only an hour for the last 9-mile section, the reality is runners should be well ahead of that to have a realistic chance of making the cut-offs. Runners are given a very generous cut-off at mile 22 (Harlow Lake First Bridge), allowing for a 20:45 min/mile average pace to that aid station.
Awards & age groups
1st place overall, Male & Female.
Top three finishers, Male & Female: Open (39 and under), Masters (40-49), Grand Masters (50-59), Ultra Grand Masters (60 and up).
>> No double awards. No ties.
Post-race party
Border Grill (Marquette's fresh Mexican restaurant) will be sponsoring the Post Race Party at the Start/Finish area.
Join us from 11 AM to 9 PM for Chicken and Vegan Burritos, Rice and Beans, and homemade Chips and Salsa.
>> The food provided at the post race party is for racers only.
